How It works

LS™ capping machines operate in the following way. The operator lowers the chuck onto the cap to be tightened. The operator then depresses the lever with their thumb or fingers to start the capping machine which will quickly tighten the cap onto the container. When the cap reaches the pre set torque, the operator will hear the clutch slipping and will see the chuck has stopped rotating on top of the cap. This signals the operator to release the lever and move on to the next cap.

While the LS-100 is a good capping machine that is far superior to others in its price class, it does not provide the excellent torque accuracy as well as the many ergonomic advantages that the PS Series Pneumatic hand held capping machines offer.

The PST-100 Pneumatic Capper Stand can be purchased as an option.  The column of the stand is 43 inches high and the arm is 30 inches long. The arm of the stand can swivel 360 degrees allowing for a large potential work area for your capping machine. The stand also makes for easy mounting and organizing of the capping machine, capper balancer and air hoses.

The KBC 1000 Bench Clamp can be purchased as an option. The KBC-1000 Bench Clamp allows you to fasten the base of the PST-100 Stand onto your work surface without screwing the base of the stand directly into your table.

SA Bench Top Capping Machine

SA™ Semi-Automatic Bench-Top Capping Machines were designed to eliminate the strain and fatigue associated with hand capping. Extremely ergonomic and comfortable, SA Bench-Top Capping Machines are very easy to use.

How It works

Simply place the bottle to be capped into the V-block on the base of the machine and depress the foot pedal. This activates the machine to bring the capping motor down onto the cap, tighten the cap to the pre-set torque, then lift the capping motor back to its initial position ready for the next container.

These Capping Machines feature an adjustable automatic-shut-off clutch, which offers excellent torque accuracy and repeatability. The clutch is easily adjusted by rotating an external dial with your fingers; the torque range is from 2 inch.lbs. - 125 inch.lbs. When the cap reaches the pre-set torque, the clutch signals the motor to shut off, and the machine lifts up off of the cap.

These Semi-Automatic Cappers are air operated. They include an integrated lubricator/filter/regulator to ensure the machine receives clean, well lubricated air at the correct air pressure.

Tighten small caps the SA 1000 Series Capping Machines can handle your small cap requirements, applying as little as 2 inch.lbs. of torque.

PS Bottle Cappers tighten screw and lug caps from 10 mm to 130 mm. They are easy to use and a good choice when torque accuracy and repeatability are crucial. The torque output is easily adjusted by turning an external torque dial with your fingers. PS Capping Machines run on compressed air at 90 psi; they are very quiet and comfortable to use.

How It works

With a gentle push down (push to start-there are no levers to depress) the machine starts and tightens the cap in a fraction of a second. When the cap reaches the pre set torque, the machine automatically shuts off (auto-shut-off), signaling the operator to go to the next cap.

When we discuss small caps we are in general referring to caps from 10mm - 18mm in diameter. The appropriate torque range to tighten such small caps is usually between 2 inch.lbs and 12 inch.lbs. Small caps are most frequently found in the medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Subject to greater regulation and extensive quality standards, these companies frequently require a capping machine which will deliver excellent repeatable torque accuracy on their caps and containers.

This Manual Capper is intended for manufacturers with relatively low production runs that require a high level of certified torque accuracy. It is ideal for shippers of hazardous materials that need to comply with DOT regulations, as well as medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies that need to comply with strict torque specifications.

The Cap-Rite is also a good choice for manufacturers that want to continue to manually tighten their caps but want to avoid product leakage and other quality problems that can result from inconsistent hand tightening.

The application torque of this Manual Capper is factory set and locked to your specification. Available torque settings are from 5 - 50 inch.lbs. The torque setting can be selected in 1 inch.lbs. increments.

 The Manual Capper provides outstanding torque accuracy of +/- 4% which ensures that you will be applying the correct amount of torque to your cap every time. A certificate of calibration is included with your purchase.

While standard chucks with urethane chuck inserts (liners) are standard equipment with our powered capping machines, they cannot provide enough gripping power to generate the torque necessary to properly seat a cap being applied manually.
