Operation
Typical Applications

Medicine vials, jam jars, canned food and soft drinks, shampoo bottles, wine casks, oil containers up to 4 L in size, etc., packaged as handy "pick and carry" consumer pack or larger size distribution pack. Books, cassettes, discs, floor and wall tiles, chocolate in boxes, ice cream tubs, etc., can be packaged as single stack or a collation of stacks. Match boxes, toothpaste, cigarette cartons, shoeboxes and appliances are typically packaged as stacked layers. Popular for price club and promotional applications.
The product to be shrink packaged is collated by the operator on the infeed table in front of the pusher. After 1 to 2 seconds, the welding bar and the holding foot simultaneously raise, awaiting the next collation.
Subsequently the pusher is advanced taking the collation into the film web, through the jaws to the welding station. The next collation of product is now pushed forward, transferring the previously sleeved collation onto the shrink tunnel conveyor.
At the end of the forward travel of the pusher, a holding foot descends to clamp the collation. The sleeved collation travels through the shrink tunnel where recirculated hot air causes the film to shrink and conform to the contours of the contents.
The pusher is then returned to rest position where it initiates the descent of the welding jaw, film welding and cutting. Before leaving the conveyor, the film is fan cooled to achieve a tight, secure package.

Operation

A simple rotary selector switch is set for the number of rows - 1, 2, 3 or 4 - as desired.
A sensor switch activates and the pusher
advances the row.
The pusher moves the collated group past the sealer.
The package is shrunk with re-circulated hot air.
The product is conveyed in front of the pusher.
The number of rows is accumulated.
The package is sealed and conveyed through the shrink tunnel.
Before leaving the conveyor, the film is fan-cooled to achieve a tight, secure package.
